Data and experience

Conversion optimization

Research-led CRO on the pages where money actually moves. Experiments with a hypothesis, a sample size and a verdict.

Conversion work fails when it becomes a list of best practices applied to whatever page is handy. It works when you find where people are actually dropping out, form a hypothesis about why, and run a test big enough to answer it. Most of the gain is in removing friction nobody defends.

What it covers

Funnel analysis

Where people leave, on which device, from which source. Usually it is one step nobody has looked at in a year.

User research

Session review and direct questions, because quantitative data tells you where people leave and never why.

Experiment design

A hypothesis, a measurable outcome, and a sample size agreed before the test runs rather than after.

Form and journey work

The single highest-yield fix on most Gulf lead-generation sites, and the one most often defended for the wrong reasons.

How we run it

01 · Find the leak

Funnel analysis against clean data, which sometimes means fixing the measurement first.

02 · Form a hypothesis

A specific claim about why people leave, which the test can actually settle.

03 · Test and decide

Run it to a pre-agreed sample size, then accept the verdict even when it is inconvenient.

What you get

  • A prioritised list of leaks with the expected value of fixing each.
  • Experiments with written hypotheses and pre-agreed success criteria.
  • Honest reporting, including the tests that failed.
  • Changes implemented, not just recommended.

Where we have done this

Premium membership enquiries where the quality of the lead mattered more than the count, so the conversion work had to improve both at once. Read the Trump International Golf Club case.

Questions we get asked

How much traffic do we need to test?

Enough that a result means something, which depends on your conversion rate and the size of the change. Below that threshold we would rather fix the obvious friction and measure the before and after honestly than pretend a test was conclusive.

What if the test fails?

You learn something and you keep the finding. A programme where every test wins is a programme that is either not testing anything meaningful or not reporting honestly.

Do you do the implementation?

Yes. Recommendations handed to somebody else tend to arrive changed, and then nobody can say whether the hypothesis was wrong or the build was.

Is CRO worth it on a lead-generation site?

Often more than on e-commerce, because the value per lead is higher and the friction is usually worse. Long enquiry forms are the single most common and most expensive problem we find.
